Dinko Abdić

I graduated from the School of Computer Technology and Electrical Engineering in Bihać, then started a degree in computer science and mathematics. Made it to third year before life had other plans - family came first. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because I'd been gravitating toward the creative side the entire time. Design, development, video - that's where I belonged.

Career Path

I started out at MAAG Project as a 3D designer working on architectural visualizations — a cool mix of traditional design thinking and modern 3D rendering tools. From there I joined Vicit, where I worked as a web designer and developer. Built responsive websites for clients, and kept using 3D as a creative edge in web projects.

In 2014, I took a different kind of role - IT Technician and A/V Support Specialist at the Municipal Court of Bihać. I managed the court's computer networks, operated audio/video recording systems during sessions, handled secure video links for protected witnesses, and managed archiving and transcription of sensitive materials. Not creative work, but it gave me solid technical - infrastructure experience.

After five years, I moved to Aramedia Group as a design generalist - graphic design, video editing, photography post-production, and editorial work for their print and digital magazines. At the end of 2020, in the middle of COVID, I joined Studio Lege Artis as a senior videographer and graphic designer. This is where things really took off. I directed, shot, and edited music videos for well-known Balkan musicians - some of which hit over a million views on YouTube. I also shot and edited 120+ wedding films, helping build Lege Artis into one of the most recognized wedding videography studios in the region. On top of that, I managed our social media presence and handled product photography for regional brands.

In late 2023, I started my own thing - Indigo Studio, a creative agency I run with my partner. We work with local businesses on everything from brand strategy and web development to video production, packaging design, and marketing campaigns. In parallel, I've been working remotely as Creative Lead at Vertex Security, a security company based in New York. I led a complete company rebrand - new visual identity, redesigned website, and a vehicle fleet wrap that got instant street recognition across NYC, with clients literally calling in saying they spotted our trucks. I took over SEO, did deep keyword research through Ahrefs, identified high-value opportunities around certified brands like Genetec and Axis, and built targeted landing pages that directly brought in million-dollar contracts. I also co-manage all social media, video production, blog content, and LinkedIn outreach with the marketing manager.

Happily married for 11 years, proud dad to a 5-year-old daughter. Outside of work, I build custom electric guitars from scratch - designing, shaping, wiring, the whole thing. It's the perfect mix of craftsmanship and engineering. I also compose and produce music using DAWs, which keeps the creative batteries charged.
